♥ JYJ ♥




JYJ (known as Junsu/Jaejoong/Yoochun in Japan) is a three member boyband, formed by three members of South Korean boyband TVXQ: Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu. Their debut Japanese language EP The... reached No. 1 on the Japanese Oricon albums chart.The band's global debut album, The Beginning, was released in October 2010.

The group formed following the hiatus of TVXQ.The three members who were to become JYJ filed a lawsuit against their South Korean record label, SM Entertainment, claiming that the 13-year length of their contracts and their earning percentages were unfair. The Seoul Central District Court ruled in their favor on this matter.


Hero/Jaejoong




Kim Jaejoong (Korean: 김재중, born on January 26, 1986), better known by his stage names, Hero, Youngwoong Jaejoong (in South Korea) and Jejung (ジェジュン Jejun) (in Japan), is a Korean singer-songwriter and actor. Hero also started directing JYJ's own concerts from "2011 JYJ's World Tour".

He was a member and lead vocal of South Korean boy band TVXQ, known as Dong Bang Shin Ki (DBSK) in South Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan. After TVXQ went on hiatus, he became a vocalist in the group JYJ, who made their global debut in October 2010.

Hero was born as Han Jaejoong in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. At a young age, he was given up for adoption by his birth mother to the Kims and his name was changed to Kim Jaejoong. When he was fifteen, he moved to Seoul by himself in order to take part in the auditions held by SM Entertainment. Life in Seoul proved to be hard for him, and he had to take various odd jobs to pay for rent.


Micky/Yoochun



Park Yoochun (born June 4, 1986), better known by his stage names, Micky, Micky Yoochun (in South Korea) and Yuchun (ユチョン Yuchon) (in Japan). He is a Korean singer-songwriter, composer, and occasional actor. He is a member of South Korean boy band TVXQ, known as Dong Bang Shin Ki in South Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan. After TVXQ was placed on hiatus, he became a member of JYJ, who made their global debut in October 2010.

Yuchun was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, until his family immigrated to the United States when he was in the sixth grade.He lived in Fairfax, Virginia, where he attended Holmes Middle School and Chantilly High School.He was scouted by Brothers Entertainment and went back to South Korea, where he joined SM Entertainment.He has a younger brother named Park Yoohwan, who is also known as Ricky Park.



Xiah/Junsu




Kim Junsu (born December 15, 1986; registered on January 1, 1987 in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea) better known by his stage names, Xiah (she-ah), Xiah Junsu (in South Korea) and Junsu (ジュンス) (in Japan). He is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer, occasional actor, and a member of South Korean boy band TVXQ, known as Dong Bang Shin Ki in South Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan. After TVXQ was placed on hiatus he became a member of JYJ, which made its global debut in October 2010.

Xiah was born and raised in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He has an older fraternal twin brother named Junho, known as Zuno. In 2002, Xiah participated in the 6th Annual Starlight Casting System, which led him to be casted by SM Entertainment to take part in TVXQ.

TVXQ (often stylized TVXQ! or TVfXQ), an acronym for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (traditional Chinese: 東方神起; simplified Chinese: 东方神起; pinyin: Dōngfāngshēnqǐ; Korean: 동방신기; Japanese: Tōhōshinki), is a South Korean pop quintet formed under SM Entertainment in 2003. In South Korea they are known as Dong Bang Shin Ki (동방신기), often abbreviated as DBSK; they were later introduced in Japan as Tohoshinki (東方神起 Tōhōshinki) under the Avex sub-label Rhythm Zone in 2005. Their name translates as "The Rising Gods of the East".


U-Know/Yunho




Jung Yunho (born February 6, 1986), better known by his stage names, U-Know, U-Know Yunho (in South Korea) and Yunho (ユンホ) (in Japan). He is a Korean singer and occasional actor. He is the leader of the South Korean boyband TVXQ.

U-Know was born and raised in Gwangju, South Korea. He has a younger sister, Jung Ji-hye. At the age of thirteen he joined SM Entertainment, after winning a dance competition. Before debuting in 2003, U-Know appeared in label-mate Dana's music video for her song "Diamond" as a backup dancer and rapper.He has said he chose his stage name to be U-Know because as the leader of the group, he wants to understand everybody as in "I know you."



Max/Changmin




Shim Changmin (born February 18, 1988) also known as Max (internationally), Choikang Changmin (최강창민, 最强昌珉) in South Korea, Changmin (チャンミン) in Japan, and Shen Changmin (Chinese: 沈昌珉; pinyin: Shén Chăngmín) in China and Taiwan, is a Korean singer, songwriter and occasional actor best known as one-fifth of South Korean musical group TVXQ. He is managed under music labels SM Entertainment in South Korea and Rhythm Zone in Japan.

Max was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. He is the first-born son of parents, who were (/are) teachers.He has two younger sisters, Shim Soo-yeon and Shim Ji-yeon. He joined SM Entertainment by winning the best singer and best artist award in SM Entertainment's 6th Annual Youth Competition, a talent search conducted annually by the talent agency. He debuted with TVXQ in 2003 performing the group's debut song "Hug" on SBS network's BoA and Britney Spears showcase special.

Nickhun



Nichkhun Horvejkul (Thai: นิชคุณ หรเวชกุล), known mononymously as Nichkhun (Hangul: 닉쿤), was born on June 24, 1988.He is a singer in 2PM, a 6-member boy band that is active in South Korea and managed by JYP Entertainment.

Nichkhun was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California to Thai parents (Thai Chinese family). Nichkhun has one older brother Nichan, and two younger sisters, Nichthima (Yanin) and Nachjaree (Cherreen). At the age of two, he moved to Thailand with his family and studied at Dhepkanjana School and Tangpiroondham School. At the age of twelve, he studied at Wanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand for a year and a half and moved back to the United States to finish his schooling at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California. After high school, he was a coach at Rosemead High School for their badminton team. There, he was scouted by Park Jin-young, a K-pop singer and the producer of JYP Entertainment, at the Los Angeles Korean Music Festival.

After passing the audition hosted by JYP Entertainment, he signed a ten-year contract with the company but later resigned for an eight-year contract, not including training, and was brought to South Korea in 2006 as a trainee, being put into a class of 24 other students. Park Jin-young informed him that he was required to learn Mandarin Chinese and Korean to also work out regularly and learn how to dance and to sing. First appeared through MNET's Hot Blood, a program that showed the intense physical training that 13 male trainees had to go through for the opportunity to debut in either 4-member ballad group 2AM or 7-member dance group 2PM under JYP Entertainment.



Taecyeon



Ok Taec-Yeon (born December 27, 1988), generally known as Taecyeon, is a member in the Korean boy band 2PM, where he's mainly responsible for the rapping parts. In 2010, Taecyeon gave his debut as an actor in the Korean drama Cinderella's Sister.

Taecyeon was born in Seoul, South Korea, but emigrated with his family to Bedford, Massachusetts, where his parents and older sister still currently reside. Taecyeon himself lived there for seven years before returning to pursue his career in Korea. Taecyeon was educated at Gel In High School in Seoul and studied Business Administration at Dankook University.


Junsu



Junsu (준수) (born January 15, 1988),full name Kim Junsu (김준수), was born in Daegu, South Korea. Prior to singing, Junsu had entered and won various poem- and song-writing contests. He originally auditioned for YG Entertainment, where he befriended G-Dragon and Tae Yang of Big Bang. He was accepted into both YG & JYP Entertainment, but chose to take the path of JYP in his final decision.




Wooyoung



Jang Wooyoung, known mononymously as Wooyoung (Hangul: 우영), was born on April 30, 1989. He is a singer in 2PM, a 6-member boy band that is active in South Korea and managed by JYP Entertainment. Wooyoung was born in Busan and has an older sister. He attended Seoul School for the Arts with a dance major.


Junho



Junho (준호) (born January 25, 1990), full name Lee Junho (이준호), is from Ilsan, Korea and signed a contract with JYP Entertainment after winning the "JYP's Superstar Survival" talent search (which Taecyeon and Chansung were also contestants in) in 2006, placing 1st out of 6,000 competitors. Due to his looks, he is often compared with Korean entertainer Rain).



Chansung



Chansung (찬성) (born February 11, 1990), full name Hwang Chansung (황찬성), acted in the Korean sitcom "Unstoppable High Kick"prior to his debut with 2PM. Chansung participated in the same survival game as Junho but lost. He auditioned a second time and was accepted into the company. He rapped in 2AM's song "To Her" (그녀에게).

Doo Joon (Leader)



Yoon Doo Joon (born July 4, 1989), more commonly known as Doo Joon, is a South Korean pop singer, rapper and dancer. He is a member of the Korean boy group Beast.He was a trainee from JYP Entertainment. He was featured in the Mnet documentary Hot Blooded Men with 2AM and 2PM but was eliminated. He was then transferred to JYP Entertainment's sister company, Cube Entertainment.

Yong Jun Hyung (born December 19, 1989), more commonly known as Poppin' Dragon or Joker, is a South Korean pop singer, rapper, songwriter and dancer. He is a member of the Korean boy group Beast.Jun Hyung's real name was Yong Jae Soon but changed to Yong Jun Hyung when he was in the 6th grade. He was a member of the boyband "Xing" which also consisted of Kevin(U-Kiss), Yume, Cheon Hyesung, and ZEN. He went by the name Poppin' Dragon while promoting with Xing.
He attended at Anyang Art High School.

AJ (Korean: 이기광) was a solo singer under Cube Entertainment, better known by his stage name as "Ace Junior" when he debuted. He released his first Mini Album "First Episode A New Hero"which features the works of the famous composer Brave Brothers. He has now become a member of Beast."AJ" was trained under JYP Entertainment for four years before transferring to Cube Entertainment. He made his debut on April 2, 2009 on Mnet M!Countdown. He was dubbed by Korean media as the next Rain.

Yang Yo Seob (born on January 5 1990) more commonly known as Yo Seob, is a South Korean pop singer and dancer. He is a member of the Korean boy group Beast.Yo Seob was a former JYP Entertainment trainee. He moved agencies, to M Boat Entertainment (a former sister company of YG Entertainment) where he was trained for 5 years before transferring to Cube Entertainment where he became a member of Beast.Yo Seob currently attends at University of East Broadcasting Arts.


Dongwoon (Maknae)




Son Dong Woon (born June 6, 1991), more commonly known as Dong Woon, is a South Korean pop singer and dancer. He is a member of the Korean boy group Beast. Dong Woon was a trainee from JYP Entertainment for 2 years, and was the last member chosen to join BEAST. He is the maknae (youngest) of the group. Kim Young-woon (born January 17, 1985), better known by his stage name Kangin, is a Korean pop singer, actor, MC, presenter, and a member of the super boy band Super Junior. Sungmin (born January 1, 1986), real name Lee Sung-min, is a Korean pop singer and actor. He is one of the four lead vocalists of the South Korean boy band Super Junior. Lee HyukJae (born April 4, 1986), better known by his stage name Eunhyuk, is a Korean dancer, rapper, DJ, presenter, song writer, and occasional actor. He is a part of the thirteen member South Korean boyband Super Junior. His position in the group is the lead rapper and one of the four lead dancers. To prevent confusion with famous Korean comedian Lee Hyeok-jae, he decided to use the stage name 'Eunhyuk', meaning "Silver". Besides being part of Super Junior and Super Junior's sub-groups, Super Junior-T, Super Junior-Happy and recently, Super Junior-M, Eunhyuk has made a name for himself by appearing in numerous CFs, variety shows and music programs. Among the general audience and fans alike, Eunhyuk is nicknamed the "Dancing Machine" of Super Junior. His best friend is fellow bandmate Donghae, whom he has known for more than 10 years.

Lee Dong-hae (이동해) (born October 15, 1986), better known mononymously as Donghae (lit. East Sea), is a Korean pop singer and occasional actor. He is one of the four lead dancers of boy band Super Junior and is part of its subgroup, Super Junior-M. Donghae is also one of the first four Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.


Siwon



Choi Si-won (born February 10, 1987]), sometimes mononymously credited as Siwon, is a Korean pop singer and actor. He is a member of super boy band Super Junior and its subgroup, Super Junior-M. Siwon is best known for his role in the 2006 Hong Kong historical action film A Battle of Wits as young Prince Liang Shi. Siwon can speak Korean, basic Mandarin, and very little Cantonese (Shown in his Hong Kong interview). He is also one of the first four Korean artists to be on Chinese postage stamps


Ryeowook




Kim Ryeo-wook (born June 21, 1987), best known mononymously as Ryeowook, is a Korean singer-songwriter and occasional actor. He is one of the four lead vocalists of the super boy band Super Junior, and is also a member of Super Junior-K.R.Y and Super Junior-M, two subgroups that are branched out from the main group. Along with four other members of Super Junior, he is one of the first Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.


KiBum



Kim Ki-bum (born August 21, 1987), sometimes mononymously credited as Kibum, is a Korean pop singer, actor, and a member of the super boy band Super Junior. He made his debut in the Korean television drama April Kiss in 2004. Although debuted as an actor, he achieved higher results as a singer after his music debut with Super Junior in 2005.


Kyuhyun




Cho Kyu-Hyun (born February 3, 1988), best known mononymously as Kyuhyun, is a Korean pop singer. He is a member of the boy band Super Junior. He is also one of the first four Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.In China, Taiwan, and other Chinese speaking communities he is referred to as "Tsáo Guī Xián" (Chinese: 曺圭賢) which is based on the Chinese transliteration of the Hanja spelling.
